There are people who travel for photography and then there are those who fill their memory and memory cards with photographs when they travel. I certainly belong to the latter group. After every trip, I have over 1000 photographs, almost 990 of them lie silently on my hard disk. And I am just another travel photographer who is more interested in travel than in photography. Maybe that is why I end up taking so many photographs !
My interest in digital cameras started very late. My dad gifted me a HOT SHOT when I was in school and it stayed with me for years until I got a simple aim and shoot. The craze for SLR started when I got an analog version of it and then finally I picked up my first digital camera which stayed with me for a long time until the DSLR craze got me too. I have stayed away from getting further tempted to buy more lens. But now, I am lured by the many accessories that are available, but photography is an expensive hobby. I am saving up for a new lens which I might pick up by the end of the year . What about you ? What is the next lens or accessory or camera that you are planning to buy ?
Polarizing filter
I’m content with point and shoot which is comfort to handle for me!
Nice capture 🙂
Wow, Great moment to a nice click!
Im going to buy a point and shoot(my first camera) after few months… Wonder if you could suggest me a good one?
So what DSLR are you using now? And what lenses? More importantly, what does your bag look like and how do you carry it!?
I have a backpack, a day pack and a separate camera bag for my 60D and 3 lenses – it’s a heavy setup (comes to about 75 lbs) and you can see the whole thing at my blog but I need everything I’m carrying :-/
Hi Lakshmi,
I am a novice photographer, and I do belong to the latter division of people who take pictures to keep a record of beautiful memories. I ever strive to get a SLR or mabbe a DSLR but its a quite an expensive passion.
Thanks to digital cameras,
🙂
Can’t agree more, i have just started developing the hang of photography, though I am still in the time of understanding aperture, lighting etc; too much to learn 🙂 but photographs just captures those moments and after many years when you look back these are memories stored on a paper
