A road side scene in Mysore..We were on our way to Masinagudi in Tamil Nadu when I saw the cart ..I was tempted to go on a ride, but just had to content myself with a picture ..More on the jungles in my next post
Nice picture here. Your escapade to a jungle..woohoo! Can I guess its either Bandipur or Madumalai (actually both places is one forest, with a road dividing the two). Good guess?
yeah ! you are right …it was mudhumalai – we went to masinagudi actually which is a few kms away from mudhumalai and its littered with resorts ..been to these jungles several times ..I love that stretch driving from Bandipur to Mudhumalai ..you can read my jungle stories..the wild life label when you have the time 🙂
Ajeya – Oh wow ! sometimes its nice to just live it up with simplicity..but I feel sorry for the horses though
Pijush – Thanks..This is more a tanga than a riksha ..used to refer to a riksha as the one pulled by a cycle ..hope the situation improves in Nandigram ..read there is a cyclone out to hit WB..take care
Thanks…Well, I am close to home..was on a weekend getaway to a jungle..and this pic was shot enroute . Cyclones are scary …have seen a couple in my childhood
You made me to remember my childhood days,we used to travel by one whenever we visited our village. We used these gurram Badandis as we call it in telugu to travel with cousins to see a movies. It was meant to be our our royal holiday.
