Goa – not the one we know …
Its the Goa season. But this is the Goa that I have not seen. One hour from Panjim, the scenery, and the colours changes . Not beaches, but hills . The blues become green. Not parties, but solitude…Its beautiful, green and quiet . At Chorla Ghats , the wildnest resort is nestled between the borders of Karnataka , Maharashtra and Goa .
We chanced on this resort when we were desperate to get away from the corporate life. It was an overnight decision that made us book our tickets and make good our escape . It was replete with treks , looking for waterfalls, scouting for small snakes and a bit of bird watching.
Or you can just drink and sleep and rest all those blues .As fugitives, we sought refuge in nature, before getting back to the Goa,which we all know …
Getting there This part of Goa is nestled in the Chorla Ghats which is in the karnataka-maharashtra-goa border .Its in the Swapnagandha valley . Its equidistant from panjim -65 kms or from Belgaum -60 kms .
Are the waterfalls the Dudhsagar waterfalls? Two-three years back we trekked through Goa with Youth Hostel of India and I too have seen some of the hills. Wonderful experience, I would agree.
Its a great experience…I’m not sure of the name of these falls. These are in Chorla Ghats, a trek away from a resort close by which I chanced to find on the net .
It might make good sense if Wildernest were to not dump garbage in the middle of forest clearings and practice their stated objective.
Thanks Anil …I didnt know that ..I chanced on this resort on the website and I thought they were more into preserving the environment
