    very interesting experience, that – thanks for sharing.

    i once had a similar experience, very close – in a place called muthanga – in kerala, which i think is the same forest region as bandipur is. the only difference is, we were on a motorcycle, and i kept wishing we’d get thrased by the fellow – for what a fascinating end, it would be 🙂

    I remember a three day stay at a guesthouse in the middle of Bandipur during childhood days. Right where the deer retire for the night…as you can imagine, when we woke up in the midst of deer everywhere, it was amazing!
