Kalladaikurichi appalam or papad is quite famous and popular in my village . Here is a typical sight of a lady drying them before you can fry or roast them .
Hi Lakshmi Sharath, thanks for uploading the pic. The lady who is drying appalam is my mother Mrs. Raadhi Mahadevan. I am very happy to see her pic. In ur web page. I feel that, this is recognition and a reward for my mother for her hard work and detication towards her work on making applam for around 4decades…
And I take this opportunity to thank our GURU & Well Wisher, (Late)Thiru. Viswam Iyer (malayali mama) of. Veerappapuram street, the one who introduced applam business to my father Mr. Mahadevan. With his guidance and support My parents got a hold on this business and it helped our family for our survival these many years. I write this thanks note on behalf of my parents and my family.
