Birding Diaries–Long Billed Vulture, Orchha
When you travel without an agenda, you have time for anything and everything. Like I had a few minutes with a long billed vulture in Orchha. Besides the cenotaphs, the palaces and the temples, one can see long billed vultures everywhere here. They seem to have forged a bond with the city. I could not take my eyes away from this bird, which had made the Jehangir Mahal its home. And I spent some time taking a few photographs of this bird and it willingly posed. The last two pictures however was of a different bird posing on the cenotaphs. I could almost see a huge flock of them in the cenotaphs but they were not comfortable with the lens

lovely shots..but sadly these birds are on the verge of getting extinct..
