I was in Orissa last week and I visited the Buddhist triangle – Ratnagiri, Udayagiri and Lalitgiri which is about 100 kms from Bhubaneshwar. There were monasteries, stupas and many monuments excavated here and most of them were dated between 7th – 12th centuries. Some of these sites also had breathless landscapes like these in Udayagiri.

Amazing sites. I think sites in Gunung Kidul, Central Java, Indonesia have almost similar ambiance -between mountain landscape.

Rare and Ancient, but only 2 photographs. Actually my interest was developing-but it ended too soon. I just love ancient historical placed.

Nice blog post and my favorite would be Udayagiri pics because as far as I know that there is so many ancient monument to see which is top destination place in Orissa.

Great place…very infomative for those who are intersted about Buddha. love to visit this place and i have also visitedLumbini-Buddha birth Place is holy and historically great destination for buddhist where
peaceful maditative environment could be attempt.
